Sankhuwasabha. A team from the Food Technology and Quality Control Division Office in Dhankuta has seized expired food items worth Rs 117,000 during a market inspection in Khandbari, Sankhuwasabha.
Stating that the office has intensified the quality testing of consumer goods or services as products that adversely affect the health of consumers cannot be sold, Division Office Officer Anand Dangol said that monitoring was carried out at six hotels and 13 food shops in the district headquarters Khandbari.
The seized food items were destroyed today in the presence of representatives from the District Administration Office, the Cottage and Small Industries Office, Khandbari Municipality, the District Police Office, and the Sankhuwasabha Chamber of Commerce and Industry. .
