Kathmandu. Opposition parties have decided to protest the government’s removal of Kulman Ghising from the position of Executive Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority. The meeting of opposition parties in Parliament held at Singha Durbar on Wednesday decided to protest the government’s decision from the House and the streets.
Talking to media persons after the meeting, National Independent Party Chief Whip Santosh Pariyar said that the opposition parties have decided to raise their voice in Parliament and protest on the streets, saying that the government has removed Ghising undemocratically by violating the rules. The opposition parties allege that the government has removed Kulman based on the arrogance of two-thirds.
However, two-thirds has no meaning in matters other than parliamentary activities. He said that the opposition parties in the House will protest against the government’s decision.
