Jhapa. In the eight months of the current fiscal year, petroleum products worth Rs 12.74 billion 16 million have been imported from Kakadbhitta. Compared to the eight months of the previous fiscal year, there has been a decrease in the import of petroleum products by Rs 641.759 billion in the same period of the current fiscal year.
In the eight months of the previous fiscal year, petroleum products worth Rs 13.38 billion 33 million were imported. Information Officer of the Mechi Customs Office, Ishwar Kumar Humagain, informed that despite the decrease in the import of petroleum products, revenue has increased.
In the eight months of the current fiscal year, a revenue of Rs 6.12 billion 42 million has been collected from the import of petroleum products. This is 5.6 percent more than the same period of the previous fiscal year. In the first eight months of the last fiscal year, Rs 5.8 billion 18 million was collected in revenue.
