Agreement between the Federation of Construction Entrepreneurs of Nepal and the China International Contractors Association to attract investment in the infrastructure sector of Nepal

Kathmandu. An agreement has been signed between the Federation of Nepal Construction Entrepreneurs and the China International Contractors Association. The agreement signed in Kathmandu on Friday was signed by President Ravi Singh on behalf of the Federation of Nepal Construction Entrepreneurs (FKAN) and by Fang Qiuchen on behalf of the China International Contractors Association (CINA).

The MoU between the two countries was signed with the aim of attracting Chinese investment in Nepal’s physical infrastructure sector through cooperation between China and Nepal, said Singh, President of the Federation of Nepal Construction Entrepreneurs. He said, “We will collaborate with Chinese construction companies to enhance our capacity to collaborate between the two countries, attract Chinese investment in Nepal’s physical infrastructure sector, and make Nepali youths internationally recognized in construction work.”

Fang Qiuchen, on behalf of the China International Contractors Association (CICA), said that the MOU has paved the way for establishing cooperation between the two countries. He said, “We have signed an agreement on cooperation in the physical infrastructure sector and skilled manpower. We have succeeded in establishing cooperation.”

He said that the agreement will provide an opportunity for business organizations from both countries to work closely together.
