Kathmandu. Nepal Communist Party General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand has said that political instability has become unbearable for the people. He said this in a conversation with media persons in Birtamod, Jhapa.
He said that the people are tired of political instability and said that the economic burden has increased due to the situation of forming and collapsing governments every year. He said that a small section of those in the government are enjoying themselves from the people’s revenue. He said that a stable political system is necessary in Nepal and it is necessary to envision a system that will last for 5 years.
He said, “Political instability has become unbearable for the people. The people seem to be tired.” The situation of government dissolution and formation every year is becoming such that as soon as the government at the center collapses, the provinces collapse as well, so the entire economic burden has to be borne by the people, and the small portion of the government that is in power enjoys itself from the revenue we have accumulated. This has led to a crisis in the economic sector, and has also created chaos and instability in the political sector. First, we need to think in a new way about the political structure. Nepal needs a stable political system. Such instability cannot be tolerated. We need to envision a system that will last for 5 years.’
He said that it is necessary to make many major changes to the constitution.
