Kathmandu. Acting President of the National Independent Party, Dol Prasad Aryal, has drawn the attention of the government to provide remuneration to workers going for foreign employment as per the agreement. Speaking at the Monday meeting of the House of Representatives, Acting President Aryal drew this attention, saying that there are complaints from workers going for foreign employment that they are being cheated, facing problems and that the embassy ignores them when they raise problems.
He mentioned that workers working in security companies in the UAE and Malaysia are receiving remuneration, leave and medical treatment as per the agreement. He also said that manpower companies do not provide the services and facilities as promised to the workers and threaten them when they complain. He also demanded that workers be provided with services and facilities as per the agreement while remittances are flowing into the country and that manpower companies that cause suffering to workers be brought under the legal ambit.
He also demanded that embankments be made on rivers that are at risk of flooding as the rainy season is approaching.
