Kathmandu. Citizen Investment Fund Chairman Surya Bahadur Thapa has said that the country should continue to expand its investment in productive sectors such as agriculture, tourism, energy and physical infrastructure construction to support the economic sector and create employment. Speaking at the 35th anniversary celebration of the Citizen Investment Fund on Monday, he said this.
He said, “It is seen that in the future, it is necessary to continue to expand its investment in productive sectors such as agriculture, tourism, energy and physical infrastructure construction to support the economic sector and create employment in the country.”
He said that the fund’s success is based on the fact that it has been operating profitably since its establishment and the number of participants has increased every year. Similarly, Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry President Chandra Dhakal said that the funds have not been utilized for employment creation and infrastructure development.
He said, “There is a need to convey the message to the general public about employment creation and infrastructure development. But the funds we have have not been utilized.” He urged the funds to be used for development, productive sectors and employment creation.
