Kathmandu. Deposits in commercial banks have reached 6037 billion. Deposits equal to that have been reached by the month of Falgun of the current year.
According to the data of the Nepal Bankers Association (NBA), banks have invested 4851 billion in loans till Falgun. Till this period, banks have invested 1186 billion.
This year, deposits have increased by 4.90 percent compared to the last fiscal year 2080/081. Similarly, loan investment has increased by 6.12 percent. Accordingly, the loan to deposit ratio (CD) has reached 79.29 percent.
On the deposit side, deposits of Rs 120 billion were collected in Asad, Rs 122 billion in Shrawan, Rs 137 billion in Bhadau, Rs 148 billion in Asoj, Rs 150 billion in Kartik and Rs 151 billion in Mangsir. Similarly, deposits of Rs 157 billion were collected in Poush, Rs 156 billion in Magh and the highest amount of Rs 159 billion was collected in Falgun.
On the credit expansion side, Rs 47 billion were collected in Asad, Rs 51 billion in Bhadau and Asoj, and Rs 55 billion in Kartik. Similarly, loans expanded by 73 billion in Mangsir, 85 billion in Poush, the highest 92 billion in Magh, and 82 billion in Falgun.
