Kathmandu. Twenty people have been arrested from different parts of the country on charges of carrying various types of medicines and narcotics banned by the government.
According to the Central Police News Room, one person from Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-3 of Kailali, four from Ghodaghodi Municipality-7 of the same district, Harinagar, Chitwan, four from Bharatpur Metropolitan City-12, three from Chitwan, Khairhani Municipality-10 of the same district, Surtani were arrested on Saturday evening.
Similarly, a teenager from Syani Village of Ghorahi Sub-metropolitan City-8 of Dang, one from Dodhara Chandani Municipality-1 of Kanchanpur, and another youth from Bedkot Municipality-7 of the same district were arrested with narcotics. .
One person has been arrested from Sisai, Suddhodhan Rural Municipality-1, Rupandehi, four from Golchowk, Pathari Shanishchare Municipality-2, Morang, and one from Dhat No. 1, Biratnagar Metropolitan City-15. The accused were illegally carrying drugs including brown heroin, brown sugar, marijuana, tramadol and Spaspan tablets, among other prohibited items.
Six people die in separate accidents
According to a news bulletin published by the newsroom today, six people died in road accidents that occurred in Tokha Municipality of Kathmandu, Butwal Sub-metropolitan City-11 of Rupandehi, Balra Municipality-8 of Sarlahi, Budhiganga Rural Municipality-3 of Morang, Gaurishankar Tole of Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City-9 of Dang and Godavari Municipality-3 of Kailali on Saturday.
