For this, with the main objective of ‘For All – Forever: Health Insurance’, we would like to request everyone present to expand this program. Not only this, but the Health Insurance Program is an important starting point to fulfill Nepal’s constitutional obligation regarding health and to provide accessible health services to the general public. Building on this foundation, we have tried to take it forward as a stepping stone to establish universal access to health as recognized globally and to help achieve the health-related goals of sustainable development. Therefore, we would like to urge everyone again – to provide health security to the general public – today’s best option – is the Health Insurance Program. For this – we are prepared to expand the scope of health insurance so that any Nepali citizen can get treatment with confidence.’

Minister Poudel said that most of the work related to the health insurance system, including drug treatment, has been done through digital medium, and now there is a plan to develop it to the maximum and develop it completely through digital medium.

He expressed his belief that this would help in keeping track of all the expenses and procedures incurred during drug treatment and prevent any kind of fake claims and irregularities.
