Kathmandu. President of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries, Rajesh Agrawal, has said that it is the need of the day to develop women as an important basis for economic empowerment. Speaking at the Women’s Leadership Summit organized by the Confederation of Nepalese Industries on Sunday, he said this.
He said that the role of women is important in the prosperity of Nepal’s industrial and economic sectors and there is a need to further increase the role of women. He said that the development of women’s entrepreneurship in Nepal is growing positively and Nepal’s women entrepreneurs are making significant contributions in agriculture, tourism, information technology, handicrafts and other sectors.
President Agrawal said that the contribution of women to the country’s economy is increasing, even if it is through small businesses. He said that it is necessary to effectively implement the policy system adopted by the country and promote the idea that women are also an important basis for economic development.
He mentioned the need to increase women’s participation in policy making.
