Kathmandu. Nepal Sports and Events Management (NSEM) has announced Ncell Axiata Limited as the title sponsor for the third edition of the Nepal Super League (NSL). NSL is Nepal’s first franchise-based professional football league.
The partnership was announced at a special event held at The Plaza in Lalitpur on Friday. Under this partnership, Ncell will help promote football in Nepal and strengthen the game loved by Nepali football fans. It also aims to provide a platform for Nepal’s emerging players to showcase their talents. Ncell’s core philosophy of connecting Nepal and Nepali consumers is also aligned with the passion and enthusiasm for Nepali football.
The NSL, established in 2021, is being organized by NSEM with the technical support of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA). Representing several regional franchise teams, the league is generating widespread interest and participation in football across Nepal. It has further strengthened the sense of unity and pride by promoting regional identity.
The official schedule of the Nepal Super League (NSL) will start on 29 March 2025. The competition will feature a fierce competition between seven teams including Butwal Lumbini FC, Dhangadhi FC, FC Chitwan, Jhapa FC, Kathmandu Rangers FC, Lalitpur City FC and Pokhara Thunders FC. It will be an exciting and thrilling moment for football lovers across the country where various teams will compete to win the title.
Speaking to reporters, Shreyans Karki, Managing Director of Nepal Super League (NSL), said, “We are very excited to welcome Ncell as the title sponsor of NSL. This partnership will take Nepali football to new heights and help in building a strong football culture.”
