Kathmandu. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has stressed the need to finalize the bill to amend and unify the customs law quickly. Speaking at the meeting of the Finance Committee under the House of Representatives on Tuesday, he said this.
Finance Minister Poudel has urged the government to finalize the bill pending in the committee and present it to the House, citing public complaints that the law-making process has been slow.
He said that the government is committed to taking the necessary steps to ensure that the House passes it quickly. He urged the committee to move forward with the bill to amend and unify the customs law, which was brought out of national need, and some bills related to securities, including those submitted to the assembly by mid-Chaitra.
Deputy Prime Minister Poudel has urged the committee to reach a conclusion as soon as possible as the bills under consideration are important from the perspective of necessity.
