Kailali. CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that a separate law is needed to regulate the gold and silver business, which is being traded on a large scale. At a program organized here today on the occasion of the 12th foundation day of the Nepal Gold and Silver Entrepreneurs’ Federation, Kailali, Chairman Dahal said that the role of entrepreneurs in the country’s economy is unparalleled.
Mentioning that the state should not fail in creating an investment environment for entrepreneurs, he said, ‘When a business environment is created, it not only boosts the economy but also creates employment.’
Chairman Dahal said that in a situation where the country has moved to a federal system, it is necessary for the availability of necessary raw materials for entrepreneurs from the provincial level. ‘There has come a situation where some of the laws that we have made need to be amended. Today, due to legal obstacles, businessmen are not able to get raw materials easily, he said, “Even if we can provide raw materials to businessmen from the province, it will be a great relief to the businessmen.”
Chairman Dahal emphasized that the government should encourage businessmen to carry forward business in a traditional manner. For that, he said that the party will put pressure on the government through the House. He said that taxing gold and silver as a luxury item is wrong and should be removed.
