Dhanusha. Nepal Communist Party (Unified Socialist) respected leader Jhalanath Khanal has said that there is no possibility of unification with any party at present.
At a press conference organized by Press Organization Nepal in Janakpurdham today, Khanal, who is also a former Prime Minister, clarified that there is no possibility of unification of the party at present as the situation has not arisen.
However, he said that functional unification can be done on the basis of important ‘agenda’. ‘Immediate party unification is not possible, but functional unification can be done on the basis of ‘issues’. For example, there is a threat to nationalism now. In such a situation, not only the leftists, but everyone should stand united,’ Khanal said.
Former Prime Minister Khanal noted that the government unnecessarily brought an ordinance even though the process of making an act could have proceeded smoothly according to the constitution. ‘No one has obstructed the making of an act through the normal process according to the constitution. Bringing an ordinance in such a situation is wrong,’ Khanal said. Khanal accused the current government of carrying the burden of the crisis.
