Kathmandu. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy said on Fox News that his relationship with the United States could still be improved after US President Donald Trump clashed with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy over peace talks.
In an interview with Fox News, Zelenskyy said, “Absolutely.” He said that the relationship between the United States and Ukraine is “more than two presidents” and that Ukraine needs Washington’s help in fighting Russia’s large and well-armed military. “It would be very difficult without the support of America and Trump,” Zelensky told Trump’s favorite news channel, Fox News.
President Trump told reporters on Friday that Zelensky was “playing too hard” and should agree to end the war immediately. Asked if he wanted to apologize to Trump, Zelensky declined, telling Fox News, “I don’t think we did anything wrong.”
However, he did say he wanted to avoid discussing the controversial issue in front of reporters. Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in an interview with CNN, urged Zelensky to “apologize for wasting our time.”
