Kathmandu. Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has said that the Education Bill will be passed by making it student and parent-centric. He said this while addressing the eighth national convention of the National Private and Residential School Association Nepal in Kathmandu on Friday.

He said that the Education Bill is currently in the federal parliament and that the government has prioritized the Education Bill. He mentioned that legal and policy reforms are the government’s priority.

He said that the government is working to make the provisions specified in the constitution accessible to the people by formulating the necessary laws and policies.

He mentioned that the government is working to make laws by making arrangements to complete the legislative work within a certain time limit as the legislative work in the Federal Parliament has been delayed.

He said that it is necessary to make the education bill balanced and said that the bill will be passed by keeping the best interests of students and parents at the center, the interests of teachers, the interests of school employees, the interests of private and residential schools, and the interests of community and public schools at the center. .

Home Minister Lekhak said, ‘The education bill is now in the federal parliament. We, the government, have given one thing as a top priority. That is, legal and policy reforms are our priority. We are working to make the provisions specified by the constitution accessible to the people by formulating the necessary laws and policies. The legislative work in the federal parliament has also been delayed. The bills that have been in the house for years could not be passed on time.’

‘The pending education bill should be passed in the federal parliament as soon as possible. It is necessary to make the education bill balanced. Keeping the best interests of students and parents at the center, the interests of teachers, the interests of school employees, the interests of private and residential schools, and the interests of community and public schools as central themes, a balanced law will be made for everyone. “Your investment will not be allowed to go to waste,” he said.

An ordinance was brought to ensure a business environment

Home Minister Lekhak mentioned that the government formed by the combination of the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML was not formed just to form a government and to make some leaders the Prime Minister and ministers.

He said that the Congress-UML government was formed with the aim of forming a stable government and thereby taking the journey of sustainable peace, good governance, development and prosperity forward in the country. .

Home Minister Lekhak said that the government has brought the ordinance with the aim of eliminating the laws that hinder the business environment and providing ease to the service.

Although the ordinance could not be approved due to some technical and procedural reasons, the ordinance will be approved within the time limit, stating that the general public and the private sector are all happy with the ordinance brought by the government.

Home Minister Lekhak said, “The government formed by the equation of the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML was not formed to form the government and to make some people the Prime Minister and some leaders ministers. We want a stable government to be formed in the country, so that that stable government can take the journey of sustainable peace, good governance, development and prosperity forward in the country.” It was formed with the objective. He said that there should be no doubt that the investment made by the private sector in education has increased the quality of education. He mentioned that the quality of education in Nepal is competitive at the international level and the contribution of private and residential schools is important in making it competitive.

He warned that if there is any work of attracting parents and students by showing attraction and later collecting money, it should be stopped.
