Khalanga. The Mahakali Highway has been blocked due to a landslide in Kimtadi, Mahakali Municipality-5. Chief District Officer Yagya Raj Joshi informed that the transport service has been suspended since this morning after the landslide.
Since the road has been blocked, vehicles leaving the Terai for the district headquarters and those leaving the district have been stranded on the road since morning. Loveraj Awasthi of Mahakali Counter Darchula informed that the passengers were stranded on the road. A landslide had also occurred in the same place in the second week of last Magh.
The road was repaired some time ago at the said place.
