Six local governments in Baglung set up their own ‘Singh Durbar’, reducing office operating expenses

Baglung. After the implementation of federalism, Baglung became 10 municipalities. Before that, only Baglung Municipality existed. Nine municipalities of Baglung established in 2073 BS were operated in rented houses.

Of these, six local levels have been successful in providing services from their own buildings, while the buildings of Galkot and Jaimini municipalities are under construction. Dhorpatan Municipality has also started providing services from its own building since Falgun. After the building is completed, services have been provided from Falgun.

Office operating expenses have decreased after the service was provided from a six-storey concrete building at a cost of 45.934 million. Kathekhola Rural Municipality has not been able to finalize the land. A year after Tarakhola Rural Municipality built a building with facilities, Badigad Rural Municipality has built a building.

After federalization, Kathmandu’s Singha Durbar has started being established in the villages to serve the people. Not only Badigad and Tarakhola, but Tamankhola, Nisikhola Rural Municipality and Bareng Rural Municipality are also providing services from their own buildings.
