Kathmandu. The Hydrology and Meteorology Forecasting Division has stated that the country is currently under the influence of a western low-pressure system and that it is generally cloudy in the Far West, Karnali, Lumbini and Gandaki provinces, while the rest of the provinces are cloudy.
Also, light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is occurring in many places in the Far West and Karnali provinces. According to the division, it will be mostly cloudy in Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini and Gandaki provinces this afternoon, while the rest of the region will remain partly to generally cloudy.
There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in many places in the hilly parts of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, and light rain with thunder and lightning in some places in the Terai regions of Lumbini, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces.
There is a possibility of light to moderate snowfall in many places in the high hilly and mountainous parts of Gandaki, Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces. Similarly, it will be mostly cloudy in the hilly areas of the country including the Far West and Karnali provinces tonight, while it will be partly cloudy in the rest of the country.
There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places of the Far West, Karnali and Gandaki provinces. In addition, there is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in some places in the remaining hilly areas of the country.
According to the weather forecast bulletin issued by the division this morning, there is a possibility of light to moderate snowfall in some places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki, Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces.
In the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in many places in the hilly areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. In addition, there is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in some places in the Terai region of Lumbini, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces and in some places in the hilly parts of the rest of the provinces of the country.
The division has stated that there is a possibility of light to moderate snowfall in many places in the high hilly and mountainous parts of Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces, in some places in the high hilly and mountainous parts of Gandaki province and in some places in the high hilly and mountainous parts of the rest of the provinces, which may affect daily life, health, agriculture, roads and aviation, and has requested all concerned to be vigilant.
