Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the current government was formed for good governance and development. Addressing a program organized in Kathmandu on Tuesday, he said this.
He said that it is wrong to say that nothing has happened and that much more needs to be done. He said that he had made extraordinary changes when he became Prime Minister for 3 years, but the governments formed after that did not move forward with the work, so development could not move forward.
He said that forming a government with two major political parties is also to move forward with the development work that was stopped in the past. He said that the government is working to accelerate the pace of good governance and development in the country.
Prime Minister Oli said, ‘Something has happened, but much more remains to be done. During the three years I was Prime Minister, extraordinary changes have taken place. The three years in between could not sustain that progress. Since we did not maintain that, now the two largest parties, the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML, have come together and the country is in a lot of trouble. We have formed a government that should not lead the country towards decline, but rather take it forward on the path of good governance and development. The achievements made by science and technology should be accessible to all Nepali people. 20 percent of the people are still below the poverty line.’
Prime Minister Oli said that he wanted to see Nepali children smiling.
