Kathmandu. The government has promoted one person to the rank of Colonel and one to the rank of Assistant Lieutenant Colonel of the Nepal Army. The meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Falgun 11 promoted one person to the rank of Colonel and one to the rank of Assistant Lieutenant Colonel of the Nepal Army.
Also, the government has extended the tenure of one Colonel, two Assistant Lieutenant Colonels and one Lieutenant Colonel. Making public the government’s decisions, Government Spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung said that the government has decided to approve the foreign visits of the secretaries of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development (Livestock Development), Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (Education) and Ministry of Health and Population. Granting permission to Prof. Dr. Jaya Bahadur Tandon, Honorable Vice President of the National Planning Commission, to participate in the 2025 Harvard Ministerial Leadership Forum program under the Harvard Ministerial Leadership Program to be held at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States of America from 2082 Baisakh 14 to 17. To grant approval to Shivraj Adhikari to participate.
To grant approval to the Ministry of Finance to make arrangements to pay the liabilities created by the projects and programs included in the approved program and budget of the fiscal year 2080/81 and the work completed in the same fiscal year but pending payment.
To form a negotiation team to finalize the financial agreement and program document regarding the acceptance of the proposed concessional loan amount of US $ 150 million from the International Development Association of the World Bank Group under the Bridges Improvement and Maintenance Program Phase III and to authorize the negotiation team to negotiate with the World Bank.
To appoint Mr. Sharad Ojha, Kanchanpur, as the Chairman of the Nepal Insurance Authority. .
To grant approval to the Honorable Minister of Water Supply to participate in the program to sign the Memorandum of Understanding on the Development of the Water Supply and Sanitation (WASH) Sector in India to be held from 18th to 22nd of Falgun 2081.
To provide relief as if dead to the families of the persons who went missing due to monsoon disasters since 1st of Baisakh 2080, after ascertaining the situation of the missing person for at least ten days, through the concerned District Disaster Management Fund.
