Kathmandu. Sharad Ojha has been appointed as the Chairman of the Insurance Authority. The Cabinet meeting held on Monday gave Ojha the responsibility of the Chairman of the Insurance Authority.
Ojha is the youngest person in the history of the Insurance Authority to become the Chairman. He became the Chairman from the Nepali Congress quota. There were 12 people competing to become the Chairman. Among them, Ram Sharan Pudasaini, Kamal Regmi, Chiranjivi Chapagain, Damodar Basaula and Sharad Ojha were on the short list.
Ram Sharan Pudasaini had made great efforts to become the Chairman. Pudasaini, who is currently the chairman of Krishi Bank, had sought to become the chairman from the CPN-UML quota.
Ojha has a Masters of Business Studies in Business Administration Management Accounting from Tribhuvan University. Similarly, he has a bachelor’s degree in law from the ‘Law’ campus.
Ojha, who has worked in high management in the media and corporate sectors, has 12 years of experience in various fields, including teaching, financial sector reporting, and stock brokerage firms. Ojha, who teaches at various prestigious colleges in Kathmandu, specializes in microeconomic policy analysis, communication, and event management. He has also been working as an advocate.
Ojha’s home district is Kailali. Ojha, who came to Kathmandu for his studies, achieved great success at a young age.
