School building handed over with 8.5 million rupees assistance from the Japanese government

Kathmandu. The Chandravati Secondary School building located in Lekhani, Katari Municipality-14, Udayapur, built with the assistance of the Japanese government, has been handed over. Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Maeda Toru handed over the newly constructed building.

The building was constructed with the assistance of about 8.5 million rupees under the grant aid of the Grassroots Human Security Project (GGP) of the Japanese government. On the occasion, Japanese Ambassador Maeda expressed his congratulations and appreciation for the efforts of everyone involved in the project, according to the Japanese Embassy in Kathmandu.

The said school was established in BS 2017. It is said that about 330 students are currently studying in the school. The school has been a major educational institution in the area. The school has been teaching from grades 1 to 12.

The students were facing problems in their studies due to the dilapidated school building. The embassy has stated that the newly constructed building has well-equipped classrooms, separate toilets for female students and other facilities.
