Kathmandu. Transparency International Nepal has said that Nepal has not been able to work as per the target to reduce the impact of climate change due to policy problems and political interests. On Sunday, Transparency International Nepal’s climate study report was released. Transparency International Nepal’s President Madan Krishna Sharma said that the climate work has not been done as per the target due to policy problems.
He claimed that the report was made public with the problems and solutions in climate work. He said that the managerial capacity is weakening due to increasing political interference in every sector. He said that if the right people are appointed in the right place, the managerial capacity will increase.
Transparency International Nepal has made the report public by analyzing the projects run to reduce the impact of climate change with the help of donors. The public report analyzes projects implemented with the support of the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, German government, and Green Climate Fund (GCF).
