More than 150,000 Nepali Army contributions to world peace and stability

Kathmandu. The Nepali Army has said that 154,340 Nepali soldiers have contributed to world peace and stability through the United Nations. This information was given at a program organized at the headquarters on Sunday to inform about the work done by the Nepali Army so far.

Nepali Army Director of War Operations, Assistant Lieutenant Colonel Rabindra Khatri, said that 73 Nepali soldiers deployed for peacekeeping have achieved martyrdom. He also informed that 69 soldiers deployed for peacekeeping operations were injured and are living an uncomfortable life for the rest of their lives. He said that Nepal is in the forefront among the countries deploying soldiers to peacekeeping forces through the United Nations.

The Nepali Army has said that 9,000 soldiers have been deployed for the security and protection of 12 national parks, one wildlife reserve, one hunting reserve and the Chure region. The Nepal Army has informed that it has strengthened its relations with friendly countries through military-diplomatic activities, including military training with the armies of friendly countries, visits by high-ranking military officers, and coordination meetings.
