Flights suspended at Resunga Airport after small plane breaks down

Gulmi. There will be no flights at Resunga Airport for the entire month of Falgun. A small plane of Nepal Airlines was flying at the airport. According to Suman Thapa, head of the airline’s Resunga office, the flight has been suspended due to a problem with the plane that was taking off and landing.

Nepal Airlines has two small planes. ‘One plane has already broken down and the other plane also has an engine problem, so the flight has been disrupted. The plane is currently in Kathmandu for repairs due to its breakdown, he said, and there is no possibility of flying even during Falgun, Chief Thapa said that it took more time as materials had to be brought from abroad to be built.

The last time an airline operated a Tamghas-Kathmandu flight at Resunga Airport was on Mangsir 24, 2081. The airport, which had its first flight on Baisakh 3, 2079 BS, has had only 90 flights in almost 20 months. Of those flights, 1,165 passengers were served on Tamghas-Kathmandu and 1,088 passengers on Kathmandu-Tamghas, according to Station Incharge Thapa. The plane can carry up to 19 passengers at a time. Although there are flights at the airport, there are only three employees.
