Implementation of 12 pride projects in Beni Municipality

Myagdi. Beni Municipality of Myagdi has implemented 12 projects of pride in the current fiscal year 2081/82. The municipality has informed that two projects have been completed, four are under construction and three are in the process of contracting, with a budget of 94.7 million rupees allocated for the construction of infrastructure for roads, tourism, agriculture and educational institutions.

Three more projects are being prepared for the tender. Beni Municipality Engineer Sudip Gautam has announced that Rs. The Maharanithan-Chhap-Dandakhet road project, with a budget of Rs 10 million, is being implemented with a 50/50 cost sharing between the Gandaki Provincial Government and Beni Municipality.

The infrastructure construction of the Param Vedic Sanatan Dharmik Ashram and the Sri Lakshmihari Temple in Ratnechaur, for which a contract was signed for Rs 59,88,170, has made eight percent progress. The Gandaki Provincial Government has allocated Rs. Beni Municipality has allocated a budget of Rs 124.325 million for infrastructure projects this year. Out of 21 plans under the Prime Minister’s Employment Program, four agreements have been made and 17 agreements are pending. Arrangements have been made to sign agreements at the ward office for budget plans up to Rs 500,000.

Deputy Mayor of the municipality Jyoti Lamichhane said that regular monitoring has been emphasized to maintain the quality of the plan and make it effective. He said that priority has been given to making the main road connecting the ward office and the main settlement from the district headquarters standard.
