‘Today is a proud and unforgettable day in the history of Nepal because the belief that the sovereignty of the country should be vested in the people and that the source of state power is the people alone was established through the struggle of the people and the sacrifice of the brave martyrs. Through the struggle of the people, we have established a federal democratic republican system of governance on the foundation of democracy,” the message said.

While strengthening democracy in the country, moving towards achieving sustainable peace, good governance, development and prosperity is our current task, it is the common responsibility of all of us to protect democracy.
