Lamjung. Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung has said that the government is committed to bringing prosperity to the country through good governance. Inaugurating the ‘First Lamjung Sports and Cultural Festival’ organized by the District Sports Development Committee at the Sahaji Playground in Besisahar Municipality-7 of Lamjung today, Minister Gurung said that controlling corruption is necessary to maintain good governance.
He informed that the government is taking the initiative to improve everything that has gone wrong so far and inspire the country in the right direction. “We are in the phase of economic reform,” said Minister Gurung. “This government is doing good work.” He said that the current government is focused on increasing capital expenditure and emphasizing on the construction of stalled development projects.
Minister Gurung, who is also the government spokesperson, said that Lamjung is a district rich in sports and culture and that it is necessary to protect and promote it. Minister Gurung said that sports are a very important medium to introduce the country to the national and international level. He mentioned that such festivals would help identify hidden talents in the district. Minister Gurung said that policy reforms are necessary to control corruption.
