Kathmandu. The Ministry of Finance has provided a resource agreement worth Rs 18.88 billion for the reconstruction of 26 projects, including roads and bridges, damaged by the floods and landslides that occurred in the second week of Asoj. Following a request from the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport on Falgun 4, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has decided to provide a resource agreement for the reconstruction of the projects today.
The 26 projects include 13 road and 13 bridge reconstruction projects. There are 13 projects in road reconstruction, including BP Highway, Mechi Highway, Araniko Highway, and Kanti Highway.
Similarly, the Ministry of Finance has given its consent to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority to establish a temporary office and create positions to advance the reconstruction of structures damaged by the Jajarkot earthquake.
