He said that writing letters to government bodies would also be against the principle of ethics. He mentioned that the Securities and Exchange Board of Nepal (SEBON) has stopped issuing IPOs as per the letter sent by the Public Accounts Committee, and said that the committee should not stop its work by writing letters to government agencies. The committee’s work affected government work.

Speaking at the committee meeting, CPN-UML MP Gokul Prasad Baskota said that the instructions given by the committee should not cause problems in the work. He said that instructions should not be given in a way that would stop the work. He urged the government to be serious about this, saying that news is now coming that the IPO could not be issued due to the letter from the Public Accounts Committee. MP Baskota said that the committee should not give the government the freedom to act in violation of the law, but the committee should not become an action-taking body.
