The bridge took time to build due to the delay in providing compensation as there were houses and huts at the construction site. Earlier, the Tuin River bridge was put into operation. The bridge was constructed by blocking the road for two years in the winter, cutting the wall and demolishing the mountain. The existing bridges there have been widened along with the expansion of the road section. A contract agreement was signed on Chaitra 10, 2076 BS for the construction of 15 bridges. These bridges were built with the assistance of the World Bank. The work on the bridges has started after the road has been widened. The road has been widened from nine to 11 meters. The bridges have been widened accordingly.

The bridge construction was done by Anak Construction. Darai informed that the bridge construction was completed at a cost of 1.265 billion five thousand five hundred and ninety-five million five thousand nine hundred and ninety-six. The contract was awarded in two packages for three years, and Anak Construction received both packages. The bridge construction was completed after almost 2 years of additional time.

Darai said that the work could not be completed within the agreed time due to Covid, compensation distribution, problems with cutting walls, management of electrical wires and poles, relocation of monasteries, toilets, waiting rooms, etc. More than 10,000 vehicles travel on this road daily. Many of these are going to and from the capital. It is estimated that the problem of vehicle congestion will decrease with the expansion of the bridge.
