Mahottari. The under-construction ‘Hamro Maya Ghar’ in Bardibas Municipality of the district has gained momentum. Mayor Prahlad Kumar Chhetri said that the construction of ‘Hamro Maya Ghar’, which was started in Bardibas-2 with the aim of providing support to the street people, destitute, disabled and helpless people of Madhesh Province, is now progressing at a rapid pace.

He mentioned that the construction process of a building for street people in Bardibas has begun after 15 local donors with a charitable spirit donated five and a half kattas of land worth about Rs 1.5 crore. According to him, the building is being constructed at a cost of Rs 106.9 million.

Work began after Rs 240,186 was collected from donations during the Shiva Puran Mahayagya organized in Bardibas from 21 to 29 Shrawan, inspired by Bhagwat Manjari ‘Radhika Dasi’, informed Chet Kumar Thapa, Secretary of the Maya Ghar Construction Committee.

The construction of ‘Hamro Maya Ghar’, which was laid by Madhesh Pradesh Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh on 30 Shrawan, was delayed due to lack of funds, but now that the collection of donations has started, the work has been accelerated, said Secretary Thapa.

The building being constructed for the first time in Madhesh Pradesh to help street people is for everyone He said that it is an inspiring, exemplary and exemplary work in the interest of human welfare.

The construction of ‘Our Love House’ has been started with the aim of providing a new name, identity and love to mentally unstable men and women who wander on the streets, beg, helpless street children, the elderly who have been victims of violence, those with mental illness and those who have lost their identity. The committee chairman, Shambhu Prasad Bhattarai, said that the work will be completed and put into operation as soon as possible.

The Detailed Project Report (DPR) states that the construction of the building will cost Rs 106.945,477. According to the report, two state-of-the-art buildings that are child and disabled-friendly and earthquake-resistant will be constructed.

Of the two buildings with drinking water, electricity and toilet facilities, one will be two-storey and the other four-storey with 12 rooms. It will have accommodation, a restaurant, a meeting room, a study room, a temple and other structures.

A temple will also be arranged for the residence, food, healthcare and education of about 200 street children and orphans, as well as for worship, meditation and worship, said Bhattarai, chairman of the committee. According to him, the under-construction building will be operational within 5 years.

The committee will rescue orphaned children and street people and take them under its care even before the building is ready and operational, said committee chairman Bhattarai.

Meanwhile, Madhesh Province Chief Minister Singh expressed his commitment that the Madhesh Province government will manage the necessary budget and support the construction of our Maya House.

Province Finance Minister Suman Kumar, who reached the building construction site for an on-site inspection, committed to allocating a budget of Rs 5 million for the construction of the building in the coming fiscal year. .

Also, Minister for Physical Planning and Construction Saroj Kumar Yadav informed that the ministry will provide assistance of 3 million rupees. The construction committee and Bardibas Municipality have requested all well-wishers, various organizations, locals, etc. to construct and operate this house.
