According to him, the physical progress of the construction of the 60-meter-long bridge has not been very fruitful. He said that the abutment cap of ward number 2 has been constructed, while only the piling work of the abutment and the middle pillar of ward number 1 has been completed.

According to the Infrastructure Office, the construction company had awarded a contract of Rs 72.38 million to construct the bridge, which cost Rs 127.3 million. It is said that the construction company has received Rs 23.40 million from the Infrastructure Office for the contract.

Local Sagar Thapa complained that the delay in the construction of the bridge over the river that flows between Chaumala Bazaar Wards 1 and 2 has caused great problems for the locals to travel during the rainy season. He said that residents of both wards are forced to cross the river to avail government services and students to study.

The locals say that due to the lack of a bridge over the river, locals are forced to walk three kilometers during the rainy season. Similarly, a contract agreement was signed with the company for Rs 52.8 million to complete the construction of a 50-meter bridge on the Kataini River between Ward No. 5, Andaiya and Ward No. 9, Likma within two years. The contract was taken for Rs. The YP had taken the contract. The office stated that due to the negligence of the construction company, the budget allocated every year is frozen due to delays in the construction of the bridge.
