Kailali. Manav Sewa Ashram has collected Rs 48.4 million in the Mahayagya conducted in Dhangadhi. The amount was collected from donors in the Mahayagya conducted with the aim of constructing a building for Manav Sewa Ashram in Dhangadhi.
Donors participating in the Mahayagya, which was conducted for a week, donated according to their income and helped in the construction of buildings for street dependent people, said Siddharaj Paneru, advisor to Manav Sewa Ashram.
The Mahayagya was conducted from Magh 23 to 30. Bhaskar Kamalanayan Gautam recited the Srimad Bhagavatam Katha with music at the Mahayagya.
The ashram, which started its service on 1 Mangsir 2075 BS by renting a house in Taranagar, Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-5, has taken the initiative to construct its own building, said Advisor Paneru.
The branch has so far provided services to more than 388 homeless, helpless, parentless, and life-threatening street people from various districts of the Far Western Province.
