Kavrepalanchok. The District Administration Office, Kavrepalanchok, has stated that 252 people involved in various criminal incidents have been arrested in Kavrepalanchok during a six-month period.
The half-yearly report for the current fiscal year released by the office states that the District Police Office and its subordinate police units have arrested the same number of accused.
According to the report, 252 accused have been arrested in 301 criminal incidents that occurred in the district from last Shrawan to mid-Poush.
The report also states that statistics including analysis of various incidents under peace and security, crime control and disaster management have been made public. .
Chief District Officer Umesh Dhakal said that the objective of the analytical report is to inform the general public about the nature of the crime, the people involved, the security situation and the challenges.
‘It is our responsibility to tighten the security arrangements, but the objective is also to get more suggestions from the general public and stakeholders through the analysis of the security situation and incidents,’ said Chief District Officer Dhakal.
According to him, while analyzing the nature of the incidents in the district, it has been seen that more stringent technology-friendly security is needed. Dhakal said, ‘With the development of technology, incidents have been seen to have occurred in a distorted manner, we have taken this seriously.’
According to the office’s statistics, 10 people died in road accidents during the same period and 78 people were injured in accidents. The statistics show that three people were murdered in the district.
57 people committed suicide and 81 people lost their lives in 49 incidents of natural disasters. 97 people were injured in such incidents. Similarly, the report mentions that 103 distinguished persons visited Kavrepalanchok during the same period.
While monitoring 325 shops and business establishments, 6 firms were fined, while goods were confiscated from 132 shops and a fine of 55 thousand was imposed.
Meanwhile, the District Administration Office Dhulikhel has collected 108.3 million rupees in revenue in the first six months of the current fiscal year. Meanwhile, 76.8 million rupees have been paid to the families of the martyrs. The public report mentions that 238 million rupees have been distributed as relief to the disaster-affected families.
