Gulmi. Gulmi’s Ridi-Balkot road, which is part of the Madan Bhandari Highway, has been closed for a month. Traffic on the road has been suspended after work began on widening the road by breaking rocks in the Sankharabhir area of Rurukshetra Rural Municipality-1.
The Madan Bhandari Highway Planning Office, Gulmi, has issued a public notice stating that the road will be closed from today until February 20. Madan Bhandari Highway Planning Office Acting Chief of Planning Humnath Poudel urged people to use alternative roads for some time as there could be risks.
After the road was closed, the office has brought into use the Satmure-Shringa Baletksar via Ridi, Satmure-Sijiko via Harthok in Palpa and Satmure Rah-Thado Khola via Ridi road.
The office has urged the Gulmi and Arghakhanchi District Coordination Committees, District Administration, District Police Office, Rurukshetra Rural Municipality, Chhatrakot Rural Municipality, Chhatradev Rural Municipality, Armed Police Force Gulma Urleni, Chamber of Commerce and Industry and West Nepal Bus Entrepreneurs Committee to provide necessary coordination and facilitation.
