Kathmandu. The Chitwan District Court has ordered the release of National Independent Party President Ravi Lamichhane on a bail of 5.4 million rupees. The court issued the order on Thursday after closed arguments in the Sahara cooperative fraud case.
The court also ordered the release of Ravi Lamichhane on a bail of 5.4 million rupees, saying that it is not possible to say at this time that he is not involved in the Sahara cooperative fraud case, said Shrestedar Bishnu Prasad Acharya of the Chitwan District Court. If bail or bail is not provided, he will be detained in accordance with the law.
Although cases have been registered against Ravi in Kaski, Kathmandu and Rupandehi for organized crime, in Chitwan a case has been filed only for fraud.
