Parsa. The Internal Revenue Office, Birgunj, has collected Rs 4.20 billion 6.956 billion in revenue during the six months of the current fiscal year. The office has collected Rs 1.437 billion more in revenue during the same period of the current fiscal year compared to the six months of the previous fiscal year.
Tikaraj Chaulagain, Office Chief of the Internal Revenue Office, Birgunj, informed that the revenue collection in the current fiscal year is encouraging compared to the last fiscal year. “There has been an increase in revenue collection from excise duty alcohol during the six months of the current fiscal year,” he said.
The office has collected Rs 1.467 billion 7.3 billion in revenue from excise duty alcohol during the six months of the current fiscal year. While in the same period of the previous fiscal year, it collected 928.7 million rupees in revenue from excise duty on alcohol.
The office has collected 319 million rupees in revenue from excise duty on other industrial products during the same six months of the current fiscal year. In the same period of the previous fiscal year, it collected 187.3 million rupees in revenue from excise duty on other industrial products. The office has collected 233.6 million rupees in revenue from Income Tax Private Limited in the current fiscal year.
While in the same period of the previous fiscal year, it collected 169.8 million rupees in revenue. During the first six months of the current fiscal year, the income tax collected 876.4 million rupees in revenue from individuals or sole proprietors, while in the same period of the previous fiscal year, it collected 471.255 million rupees.
