Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the government is making extensive efforts for a healthy Nepal. He said this while launching the cervical cancer (HPV) vaccination across the country from Tuesday.
He said that the government is running a campaign so that Nepali citizens do not get sick. He also expressed his commitment to make extensive efforts for a healthy Nepal and said that the food we eat should not only be eaten to fill our stomachs but also to stay healthy.
He said that only a healthy, balanced diet can make us healthy, and said, “We have taken the slogan of a healthy Nepal. It has two aspects. People should not get sick, they should stay healthy. For that, we make extensive efforts, extensive efforts from multi-faceted aspects. People should not get sick, they should not get sick. Food is not just about filling the stomach, it is about healthy food. Healthy food, balanced food, should be eaten in the required quantity. The concept of Healthy Nepal is based on this. This means, it is in the crops we produce. It is in the health of the food we produce.’
He mentioned that to stay healthy, the first thing a person should do is take precautions. He said that it is important to avoid getting sick. He pledged to make the campaign against cervical cancer a complete success by 2030.
