Rasuwa. Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Bidya Bhattarai, has said that hostels will be built in schools in 10 Himalayan districts.
Inaugurating the 48th anniversary and Parents’ Day of Gautam Buddha Secondary School in Phamchet, Naukunda Rural Municipality, East Rasuwa on Monday, she directed the District Education Committee to demand the construction of hostels in Rasuwa district as well.
Education Minister Bhattarai said that hostels are being built to provide a comfortable study environment for students in rural areas up to grade 12 at the local level. She said that the education bill brought by the government will soon be passed by the House and that the problems in the education sector will be resolved once the act is enacted.
She assured that a proposal will be made in the Council of Ministers meeting to provide all basic needs, including schools, to 159 households displaced from the Haku area and settled in Khalte due to the 2072 BS earthquake.
