Myagdi: Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that he will give priority to the overall development of Myagdi. At a program organized in Beni Municipality-4 Singa and Tatopani this morning, he said that physical infrastructure and tourism development would progress Myagdi.
‘I had come to the Tatopani pond here with my family 6 years ago,’ he said. ‘We have continued the work that was started by managing the budget for some plans related to the Beni-Darwang-Dhorpatan road, the protection, promotion and river control of the Tatopani pond that were raised by the people at that time.’
Recalling that during his second term as Prime Minister, former Prime Minister Dahal had launched the Beni-Darwang, Beni-Jomsom-Korla, and Beni Bazaar conservation plans, he expressed happiness that the implementation of a multi-year plan worth 100 million has begun from the 20 million budget allocated for the conservation of the Tatopani settlement in the last term. .
He committed to take the initiative to connect a bailey bridge on the Myagdi River as an alternative to the landslide in Phaparkhet, which has become a major problem on the Beni-Darwang road.
On the occasion, Gandaki Provincial Assembly members Resham Bahadur Jugjali, Hari Bahadur Bhandari, Beni Municipality-4 Ward Chairman Ana Bahadur Khadka (Bhagwan) Singa Tatopani Kund Management Committee Chairman Krishna Khadka informed about the development and construction of Singa and Tatopani.
Also, Chairman Dahal met and interviewed the martyr families in Beni Municipality-4, Thulokhola, Singa, Beni. During the meeting, Chairman Dahal inquired about the condition of the martyrs’ families and said that the contribution of the martyrs will always be highly appreciated.
He had listened to the complaints of local farmers in Singha. The farmers had demanded that agriculture be made technologically advanced, have easy access to the market, and arrange for production-based subsidies.
In the meeting, Chairman Dahal stated that he had allocated a budget of 7 billion for agricultural subsidies when he was the Prime Minister and said that he would draw the government’s attention to the status of its implementation.
