Kathmandu. CPN (UML) MP Yogesh Bhattarai has commented that the parties born from the ordinance are opposing the ordinance. Addressing the House of Representatives meeting on Friday, he made this comment targeting the CPN (Unified Socialist).
He commented that it was surprising that those who split the party from the ordinance and formed a new party were opposing the ordinance. He said that it was not only the current government that brought ordinances but also the practice of bringing them in the past.
He also said that there was no reason to object to it since issuing ordinances when parliament was not in session is a regular process, adding, “The government that brought ordinances in Nepal is not the only one led by KP Oli. When the party leader Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is sitting on the opposition bench today, was the Prime Minister, he brought ordinances three times after 2079 BS. He amended about 14 laws. He was also related to meter badges. The ordinance came on the eve of the investment conference. The party that was formed from the ordinance. The same party is saying that the ordinance is wrong today. It was born from the ordinance. It is also saying that the ordinance is not right. It is surprising what is going to happen.’
He said that if the weaknesses in the ordinance need to be improved, necessary discussions can be held, but there is no reason to disagree with the issuance of the ordinance.
