Tanahun. Locals are upset as the construction of the Belchautara-Mustang bridge has not picked up speed. Only 30 percent of physical progress has been made in four years.
The construction company, which had an agreement to complete the construction at Rs. 155.9 million including value-added tax, has said that the work was not completed on time due to financial losses during the Covid period.
Meanwhile, Head of the Infrastructure Development Office, Rabindra Tiwari, said that Rs. 88.13 million has been paid to the construction company so far. The length of the bridge to be built on the ‘Tel Foundation’ will be 150.4 meters. Out of the four spans, only one has been built so far.
