‘One School, One Traffic Teacher’ campaign

Chitwan. To reduce accidents, the District Traffic Police Office has launched the ‘One School, One Traffic Teacher’ campaign. This campaign, which started from Bharatpur Metropolitan City, will be launched throughout the district.

According to the office’s Chief Police Inspector Gayatri Raj Sharma, one teacher from each of the 198 schools in Bharatpur has been given this training. Training will be given in the remaining six municipalities gradually. Sharma said that after the training, the teachers were provided with training materials including audio, video, photos, etc. to train them in their schools.

He said, “All the teachers who take the training will provide training on traffic rules to the students and teaching staff of their schools.” Through this, all the students will get information about traffic rules, and they will also provide this education to their parents.

There are five hundred and eight schools in the district. He said that more than one lakh students, excluding the younger ones, will benefit from this training. Sharma said that the office has started this campaign saying that accidents are increasing day by day due to lack of knowledge about traffic awareness.
