Kathmandu. Due to the extreme cold and cold wave that has increased over the past three days, normal life in Madhesh, including Janakpurdham, has been affected. Although the sun has been shining since noon since last Monday, the sudden cold wind from Tuesday and the cold rain last night have made Madhesh feel extremely cold.
The sun has not shone for the past three days. In addition, there is a cold wave and cold rain. Rural life has come to a standstill due to the extreme cold and lack of sun. Daily wage earners and laborers have been affected.
Life in Madhesh has come to a standstill until 10 am. The poor and needy have been facing many problems due to the cold. Locals have been using fire to warm themselves and burning straw in rural areas to ward off the cold. The minimum temperature in Janakpurdham was 11 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature was 21 degrees Celsius on Friday.
The ongoing cold wave and cold winds are expected to continue for a few more days.
