Kathmandu. Temperatures have started rising in many parts of the country, including the Kathmandu Valley, for the past few days. Temperatures have been rising since the beginning of Magh and have been feeling hotter for the past few days. Meteorologist Sanjeev Adhikari of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Weather Forecasting Division, also said that the maximum temperature is high and the minimum temperature is also high.
Regarding the reason, he said, ‘There has been no rain for a long time and there is a high pressure system in India, which has also had an impact on the temperature.’ He said that now is the time for it to rise. Low pressure systems bring clouds, rain and increase cold, while high pressure systems help increase the temperature. However, since the high pressure system in India shifts (moves) in a few days, the temperature will not increase in the ‘ratio’ that has increased in the past two to three days, he said. However, he said that now it is time for the temperature to rise.
According to the details released by the department this evening, the maximum temperature in Kathmandu has reached 24.6 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature is also 6.2 degrees. This time, the temperature in Kathmandu had dropped by two degrees. Today, the highest maximum temperature was measured in Dipayal at 27.2 degrees and in Birendranagar at 27.1 degrees. Out of 21 measurement centers, the maximum temperature has been recorded above 20 degrees. Today, the minimum temperature was measured in only one place, Jumla, at minus 3.5 degrees.
