Kathmandu. Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Pandey has said that the government is preparing to issue a new tourism policy for the overall development of the country’s tourism sector. At a program organized here today on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the Nepal Tourism Board, he said that the government is going to make policy arrangements to guide the entire tourism industry.
Minister Pandey emphasized that the Tourism Board should be operated according to the concept of Public Private Partnership (PPP). He announced that a tourism decade would be celebrated from tomorrow for the next decade to attract more tourists.
‘Our country is multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, multi-religious, multi-cultural and geographically diverse. “Developing the tourism sector by preserving unity, tolerance, and harmony amidst this diversity is the need of the day,” he said.
