The law regarding making the Authority a regulatory and service provider body cannot be made without considering the stakeholders.

Kathmandu. Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey has said that the bill to make the Civil Aviation Authority a regulatory body and a service provider will be formulated in a way that enhances the dignity of the authority. Minister Pandey made this statement while addressing a program organized on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal on Tuesday.

He mentioned that the Council of Ministers recently passed a bill to make the Civil Aviation Authority a regulatory body and a service provider, and expressed confidence that it would be discussed and passed in the upcoming parliament.

He informed that even before this, after a long discussion, the National Assembly had passed it, but the current government had already passed it through the Council of Ministers, which was stalled in the House of Representatives.

He mentioned that the process of making the act would not be completed if the Council of Ministers passed it and that the process of making the act had formally begun. Minister Pandey pledged that the act would not be made by ignoring the stakeholders. He claimed that no law will be made that will reduce the service facilities of the employees.

Minister Pandey said that the aircraft of Nepal Airlines Corporation are also not being operated effectively and there is a shortage in the number of aircraft. He said that the government is thinking about managing the number of aircraft of Nepal Airlines Corporation.
